Wm Donnelly & Co Ltd was established in 1961 as a family run business in East Kilbride.

William Donnelly and Company Ltd. has a large private maintenance side, which offers a range of service schemes including various maintenance contracts and service contracts to suit any potential customer. We have built up our clients and our reputation in this field over the last 58 years and have a large customer base in West Central Scotland.

With over 58 years’ experience in plumbing, heating maintenance and repair, we know more than anyone, the expense that can be incurred if your heating breaks down unexpectedly or if there is a plumbing disaster.

As a locally based family company, Wm Donnelly and Company have carried out repairs and services in most homes in the East Kilbride area, firstly for the East Kilbride Development Corporation and then South Lanarkshire Council. Our company has a long standing relationship with Homeserve PLC with whom we have been providing service for over 20 years. We also carry out work for Npower, Scottish Power, The AA, CET and AXA Assurance.

Homeserve have very strict targets for the level of customer service and customer care provided by their contractors. In the three years where awards were presented, Wm. Donnelly & Co. Ltd. received the award for the Top Gas Engineer in Great Britain on every occasion with two different engineers. The company was also voted top Gas Contractor in Great Britain and received the runner up award twice. This is an achievement we, as a local based family company are extremely proud of.

As a team, we do our utmost to make sure our customers are given the best service possible on both a national and local level. This is achieved in part by recruiting experienced staff, providing a high level of training and support to our engineers and staff and reminding our personnel that they are working in people’s home environment and that they must respect their homes as they would their own. All of our Gas engineers are fully Gas Safe registered and we have Engineers on call 24 hours and 365; days of the year. Our office is also manned during normal working hours 7 days a week so you will always speak to a trained member of staff when you call.

PLUMBING

The plumbing side of Donnelly’s was founded on the domestic heating market with the more commercial aspects of the business being developed over the last 10 years.

The company is involved with many new build projects and is responsible in the majority of projects for both the heating and plumbing installations and services. We find that this works well, as any future employer has only the one sub-contractor to deal with.

On the more commercial side of the market, we have carried out all the plumbing work in several big Superstores, at Lanark, Leven and the prestigious Parkhead Forge. For these installations we designed all our own plumbing systems and drawings were supplied for any future maintenance. We also completed the plumbing contract for both the shell and fitting- out contracts at the landmark Sainsbury’s Store built at Darnley, Glasgow and the new stand for Motherwell Football Club. We have also carried out many contracts over the years in hospitals such as the Victoria Infirmary, Gartnavel, and Yorkhill.

All heating systems are individually designed to suit each individual’s home and requirements. Every care is taken to involve you, the customer, closely throughout the design and installation stages ensuring the correct appliance and controls are chosen which suit your needs best. This is taken a step further with the maintenance department offering full two year warranty FREE with every installation.

The company specialise in mainly natural gas, LPG, electric and solid fuel. In addition, we carry out a large amount of new build work in conjunction with various building contractors.
Being in the business for over 55 years, our team at Donnelly’s has been responsible for a number of large heating installations for commercial business including the Hewitt Robins Factory in Yoker and the Grey Dunn Biscuit Factory in Kinning Park.

In addition, the company has carried out heating and plumbing installations for Nursing Homes such as Sefton Park Nursing Home, Larkhall and Four Faulds Nursing Home in East Kilbride.
