MAINTENANCE
At Wm Donnelly we have a large private maintenance side where we cover various maintenance contracts and service schemes to suit any potential customer. We have built this up over the years and have a large customer base in West Central Scotland.
With over 58 years experience in plumbing, heating, maintenance and repair we more than anyone know the expense that can be incurred if your heating breaks down unexpectedly or you have a plumbing disaster. As a local based family company we have carried out repairs and services in most of the houses in the East Kilbride area, firstly for the East Kilbride Development Corporation and then South Lanarkshire Council. No one knows the variety of heating systems and plumbing systems better than we do.
We have a long standing relationship with Homeserve PLC with whom we have been providing service for over 15 years. This company began as a subsidiary of South Staffordshire Water and is now the biggest independent facilities management company in this field in the country. They have partnerships with many of the big utility companies and insurance companies and utilise this relationship to sell maintenance cover for heating, plumbing and electrical. This allows us to carry out the maintenance work for West of Scotland Water, Northern Electric, The Royal Bank of Scotland and many more of the large utility companies.
Both directly and via other partner business’s we also carry out work for Npower, Scottish Power, The AA and AXA Assurance. Homeserve have very strict targets for the level of customer service and customer care provided by their contractors.
In the three years that the awards were ran Wm. Donnelly & Co. Ltd. won the award for the Top Gas Engineer in Great Britain on every occasion with two different engineers. We were also voted top Gas Contractor in Great Britain and were runners up twice. This is an achievement we, as a local based family company are extremely proud of.
We do our utmost to make sure our customers are given the best service possible on both a national and local level. This is achieved by constantly reminding all of our personnel that they are working in people’s home environment and that they must respect their homes as they would their own.
All of our Gas engineers are fully Gas Safe registered and we have Engineers on call 24 hours and 365 days of the year. Our office is also manned during normal working hours 7 days a week so you will always speak to a trained member of staff when you call.

I would like to send my appreciation and thanks to Jim Robertson after his successful repair work on Friday 3 March 2019. Over the last year and more frequently, the last few months our boiler stopped providing heat to both radiators and hot water taps. Several visits by different engineers did not solve the problem, most probably because, at times the boiler started working of its own accord before an engineer arrived. So far, everything is working.
Fantastic service even though they had to switch our services of...brrr but was for safety reasons as we had a leak. Turned up with the wrong part but it was an easy mistake to make so our engineer (Jim) pulled out all the stops to make sure we had our heating back on that day rather than have us going without heat any longer..Had to use them last year too and recieved an excellent service then too. Feel really confident with them. Staff are all really professional, friendly and could not be more helpful. 5 stars
Great customer service, engineers are quick and thorough. Very punctual, clean and tidy. Always reliable and very easy to communicate with. I've recommended them to many friends and family too.
I cannot recommend this company highly enough. I had a Tado installation carried out by one of their engineers who was reliable,punctual,efficient & tidy! (Which was a big bonus for me!). My heating bills have greatly been reduced since my installation.
Jim Robertson was excellent in dealing with my repair. He found the fault very quickly and had the spare part in his van. Jim is welcome in our house any time.

We picked Donnelly & Co to convert our ensuite shower room into a wet room. I am disabled and needed extra space so allow me to wash. We found that not only was the quality of workmanship excellent, the sales person Patrick showed care and understanding for the problems I was having. With his experience we were able to pick the correct fittings and finishings, which has given us not only a very functioning shower room, but one that we are delighted with. Thanks Guys

The communication was spot on, the engineers that attended where fully professional and friendly. They kept us well informed with what the issues were, how they would be resolved as well as potential cost involved.
Finally the girls in the office were great and didn't get sick of my calling for updates. Special mention to Jess who managed to support me through the process including speaking to my insurance company. Couldn't have asked for any more any you was all great to deal with.
Sorry I never got the Easter Egg to you Jess. Once again Thank You for what you did.

I recently had Colin Cochrane out at my property to fix my boiler, his service was great. He went above and beyond to find the problem with my boiler staying until 9pm that night and returning the following morning when most engineers would have gave up. He managed to find the fault and now my boiler is fixed.
Donnelly's have just installed a clos-o-mat toilet in my gran's house. She was very pleased with how efficient and friendly the plumber and electrician were and was happy with the service.

We recently had a gas leak in our property and the engineer Bob was very helpful went over and above to get the problem sorted for us, coming back a second day to resolve the issue. Will defiantly recommend to family and friends.
Had a combi boiler with nest fitted,excellent job would highly recommend. I had been dreading it as i had an old tank to be removed , they were reliable turned up when said unlike alot of tradesmen these days, were tidy, polite and done the job in a day, definately give them a call if considering any plumbing and heating jobs

I just wanted to say a big thanks to Michael Kyle for carrying out my gas boiler safety check. I thought this was going to be a waste of time as the previous engineer from another company had fixed flue that was not safe due to external works. Michael discovered again that my flue was unsafe after external work had been completed. He quickly disconnected my boiler due to safety risk. Michael was very professional, helpful and informative.
Just a quick note to say how much we appreciate the professionalism, hard work, kindness and consideration shown by your installation team (the three engineers and the Electrician (names who we did not get) who visited our home to install a new boiler. We cannot forget Colin Robertson who visited our home on many occasions to get things moving.
This morning an engineer called at our home to check the filter which was really dirty and he cleaned this, this going that extra mile. Thanks to all we really appreciated this.

From calling you at 10:10 this morning, the engineer called me back and was in the property by 10:45, The install had been completed successfully by 11:15 and everything was in working order. This level of service was way above my expectations and I just wanted to take the time to share this with you. The installer (John) was really helpful and is a credit to your company.

Had a Worcerster Bosch 30cdi with the Worcerster wave and filter fitted on Monday. What a difference to the old 10 year combi I had previously. Guys finished in one day and done dusted. The estimator Colin was great.
My recent installation went very smoothly. Wasn't sure about about the process and the guys at Donnellys took the time to explain everything to me which put my mind at ease. The engineer was punctual and proffesional and the communication was excellent throughout.
We had a new combi boiler fitted through Corgi Home Serve and the job was given to Donnelly’s. On arrival to fit the new boiler it was discovered that the rep from CorgI recommended a model which was far too big for the cupboard in which it was to be fitted. John and Iikidiusz from Donnelly’s were absolutely amazing. They managed to source a boiler which not only fitted perfectly but was more efficient. They traveled all the way to Ayr to collect it and even provided us with heaters because they obviously could not finish the job in one day due to Corgi’s mistake. I am a pensioner and have had some bad experiences in the past with certain tradesmen but both John and Iikidiusz were absolutely amazing. I would have absolutely no problem with recommending Donnelly’s to anyone who is looking for a decent, honest and reliable service from such a fantastic company.

Excellent from start to finish, girls in the office customer service brilliant (so polite, happy and friendly), engineer Ken fantastic couldn't do enough for us to get our heating back up and running. Forget the Big Companies for Gas maintenance/Service. Support local business who really care. When my contract for annual service/maintenance is due next year I'll e contacting William Donnelly & Co. Over the last year and more frequently, the last few months our boiler stopped providing heat to both radiators and hot water taps. Several visits by different engineers did not solve the problem, most probably because, at times the boiler started working of its own accord before an engineer arrived. So far, everything is working.
Friendly, efficient service fitting our new boiler. Really pleased with work and the boiler has made a massive difference to our heating and hot water - no problems with either now. Would recommend these guys.

I recently had Colin Cochrane out at my property to fix my boiler, his service was great. He went above and beyond to find the problem with my boiler staying until 9pm that night and returning the following morning when most engineers would have gave up. He managed to find the fault and now my boiler is fixed.

Excellent from start to finish, girls in the office customer service brilliant (so polite, happy and friendly), engineer Ken fantastic couldn't do enough for us to get our heating back up and running. Forget the Big Companies for Gas maintenance/Service. Support local business who really care. When my contract for annual service/maintenance is due next year I'll e contacting William Donnelly & Co. Had a Worcerster Bosch 30cdi with the Worcerster wave and filter fitted on Monday. What a difference to the old 10 year combi I had previously. Guys finished in one day and done dusted. The estimator Colin was great.
Had a combi boiler with nest fitted,excellent job would highly recommend. I had been dreading it as i had an old tank to be removed , they were reliable turned up when said unlike alot of tradesmen these days, were tidy, polite and done the job in a day, definately give them a call if considering any plumbing and heating jobs
Very pleased with new Nest installation. Experienced engineer who explained and installed the device. Great for controlling heating when your not at home.
I just wanted to say a big thanks to Michael Kyle for carrying out my gas boiler safety check. I thought this was going to be a waste of time as the previous engineer from another company had fixed flue that was not safe due to external works. Michael discovered again that my flue was unsafe after external work had been completed. He quickly disconnected my boiler due to safety risk. Michael was very professional, helpful and informative.
Boiler repair was carried out quickly and the engineer was polite and helpful. Would highly recommend the company.

We had a new combi boiler fitted through Corgi Home Serve and the job was given to Donnelly’s. On arrival to fit the new boiler it was discovered that the rep from CorgI recommended a model which was far too big for the cupboard in which it was to be fitted. John and Iikidiusz from Donnelly’s were absolutely amazing. They managed to source a boiler which not only fitted perfectly but was more efficient. They traveled all the way to Ayr to collect it and even provided us with heaters because they obviously could not finish the job in one day due to Corgi’s mistake. I am a pensioner and have had some bad experiences in the past with certain tradesmen but both John and Iikidiusz were absolutely amazing. I would have absolutely no problem with recommending Donnelly’s to anyone who is looking for a decent, honest and reliable service from such a fantastic company.
Jim Robertson was excellent in dealing with my repair. He found the fault very quickly and had the spare part in his van. Jim is welcome in our house any time.
We picked Donnelly & Co to convert our ensuite shower room into a wet room. I am disabled and needed extra space so allow me to wash. We found that not only was the quality of workmanship excellent, the sales person Patrick showed care and understanding for the problems I was having. With his experience we were able to pick the correct fittings and finishings, which has given us not only a very functioning shower room, but one that we are delighted with. Thanks Guys
On the 18th February I had some work done by your company and I would like to congratulate you on the very high standard of your staff. From the initial survey carried out by Colin Robertson to the team who carried out the work, Billy, David & Ross, they were all first class. They were pleasant, mannerly, tidy and did a really competent job very efficiently and quickly.

Had an issue with my boiler that left me and my family with no hot water or heating however WM Donnelly could not have done anymore.
The communication was spot on, the engineers that attended where fully professional and friendly. They kept us well informed with what the issues were, how they would be resolved as well as potential cost involved.
Finally the girls in the office were great and didn't get sick of my calling for updates. Special mention to Jess who managed to support me through the process including speaking to my insurance company. Couldn't have asked for any more any you was all great to deal with.

Fantastic service even though they had to switch our services of...brrr but was for safety reasons as we had a leak. Turned up with the wrong part but it was an easy mistake to make so our engineer (Jim) pulled out all the stops to make sure we had our heating back on that day rather than have us going without heat any longer..Had to use them last year too and recieved an excellent service then too. Feel really confident with them. Staff are all really professional, friendly and could not be more helpful. 5 stars
We recently had a gas leak in our property and the engineer Bob was very helpful went over and above to get the problem sorted for us, coming back a second day to resolve the issue. Will defiantly recommend to family and friends.
David has done an amazing job on the boiler install, he was very efficient and made sure everything was cleaned up after him 🙂

My recent installation went very smoothly. Wasn't sure about about the process and the guys at Donnellys took the time to explain everything to me which put my mind at ease. The engineer was punctual and proffesional and the communication was excellent throughout.
I cannot recommend this company highly enough. I had a Tado installation carried out by one of their engineers who was reliable,punctual,efficient & tidy! (Which was a big bonus for me!). My heating bills have greatly been reduced since my installation.
Donnelly's have just installed a clos-o-mat toilet in my gran's house. She was very pleased with how efficient and friendly the plumber and electrician were and was happy with the service.
I just wanted to give some feedback on my experience. I had a failed install last week (no fault of yours) and required a new install. The service received was excellent. From calling you at 10:10 this morning, the engineer called me back and was in the property by 10:45, The install had been completed successfully by 11:15 and everything was in working order. This level of service was way above my expectations and I just wanted to take the time to share this with you. The installer (John) was really helpful and is a credit to your company.
